I don't know if this would cost anything extra, but to better know how well a song is tabbed, set up a rating system (which probably has been discussed, I just joined), but also setting something up where people could leave comments about the song, and possible other ways to play the song that may work better...just an idea, don't yell at me

The best thing would be if the comment went to the author. They could evaluate the suggestion and incorporate it into the song if they found it valuable.

I am working on a messaging system where that would be a possibility. The rating system has been discussed before and overall many people weren't a big fan of it.

Oh yea keep the messaging thing quiet, it is a secret.

I was never in favor of a rating system. Feedback could be OK. If it wasn't just flames

i think care has to be taken on how to go about this, this is a good site at it would be a shame if it became a hotbed for flaming/trolling like the other forums ive been to.

Im sure the last thing Nick needs is to have to get mods to police the site

a personal messaging system is probably safer in that respect.

I still have a lot of work to do on it because I need to figure out a good system for the messaging and I need to almost create an email program so it is going to be a huge project. So I didn't want to tell anyone I was working on it since it will take me a long to complete.

Open Source forum package. Includes private message system.

There are many different forum packages out there, but to switch to a new one would require a lot of work including transfering everything over to the new system. That would require me to write a database translation program to take the postings from one forum and move it onto another.
