it might be a bad idea but what if the web site provided an area for members to sell their old harmonicas or maybe even trade with other members. It would be a great way fro members to be able to get deals on harmonicas.

I don't want to have to worry about any sort of legal ramifications if people scam others through the website. I think it would be a nice thing to have if it would be used though.

Have you thought about selling harmonicas through the store site?

One Idea in this respect would be - not to sell harmonicas - but to find a reasonable site that will partner with you, you trade advertising space on the site and in return you get a commision if they note that you directed them to their site. Not so bad, and dont have to worry about legal ramifications.

The store is a service provided by a company and the only control I have of the merchandise is the design. I have suggested they add harmonica and a few other things but they never responded back to me and they have not added them.

That is not a bad idea. I don't know who I could contact about it.

Perhaps you could contact Harp Depot (http://www.harpdepot.com) or Coast to Coast Music (http://www.coast2coastmusic.com). Barring that, what about seeing if one of the Harmonica companies would be interested in setting something up. Hohner is [www.hohnerusa.com]. Hering is [www.heringusa.com]. I'm not sure about Lee Oskar, Huang (SP?), or Suzuki.

I'm sure some Harmonica Company or Store would be interested in doing the type of deal Heero_fox has suggested.

Don't blame you for not getting personally involved with actual Harp sales/trades, a lot of work & worry due to scams as you stated.
Just keep asking around

Yea I have been so busy recently so I have not yet contacted any of the stores about setting up something. I hope on doing it soon though.

I've been dealing with a fairly unknown outfit... called woodwinds & brasswinds (https://www.wwbw.com/)... their prices are comparable to SamAsh, but better shipping cost and more % deals.

I wonder if they'd be interested?

I have a store which is interested in doing this already but we never finished to hash out the details. I have just been too busy.

Of course you have been busy, running a site that has half a million hits a month.

Well done geezer.
