It was very hard to compete with people who's songs lived on the front page. I think your new system is a lot better to the people who contribute so much to the site.
It can only lead to people posting more tabs. Tabs are the real reason people go to this site.

Less confusion is good. The other system I think was much fairer but we had the rare situation where the person posted just one tab and it got lots of views.
