In the drop-down menu for key when posting a tab, one of the keys is C#. It's the same key, but it's supposed to be called "Db."

Technically I think you are correct but Db is not conventionally used in notated music. An equal-tempered scale of Db minor comprises the same notes as the C# minor scale. So the theoretical key of Db is usually practically notated by a key signature of C#.

Yeah, but try buying a C# harmonica.
(They should have thought of that when they started stamping lables on them.)

I'm looking at the circle of fifths. On the major side it shows Dd. C#m shows up in the minor part(Relative minor of E).

So where does that leave us?

C# = Db
D# = Eb
E# = F
F# = Gb
G# = Ab
A# = Bb
and
B# = C

Thanks for that but back to gene’s question that could well turn into a lengthy debate.

Should we be referring to this note as C# or Db?

Call the note whatever the key of a song calls for, but in that drop-down menue when posting a tab, it should be called Db because that's how the harmonicas are labled.
