The strangest place you played your harp

I kind of play my harp anywhere. I mean ANYwhere. I play before work. I play in the lunch break. I play after work. I play walking the streets. I play sitting on a park bench. I play during commercial break on tv. I sometimes play in the showerconfused smiley

I am totally hooked. The first thing I grab for in the morning and the last thing I put away at night. (not counting my wife though. She is actually the first and last)

Once I had this court meeting in a small town. I arrived early and sat down on a park bench playing a little while making the time pass. Obviously this town was very small, cause when I arrived the court room the court pointed it out for me. "We noticed you played harmonica out there. Since your opponent didn't show, we have som extra time. Why don't you play us a song" And I had to play "My Darling Clementine" on my harp before I "was allowed" to leave. grinning smiley

I also noticed that the security guards in airports don't always rekognize the shape of a harp in the x-ray machines. I often have to open my bag and show them what it is. And in Frankfurt, Germany, I was also persuaded to play a song before I was let through.

Where is the strangest place you guys have played your harp?

I don't know that it was the strangest place to play a harp, but it was one of the prettiest. My wife and I stopped at Ten Sleep Canyon in the Big Horn Mountains, near Ten Sleep Wyoming. I played Amazing Grace and my wife Julie recorded me playing. The canyon and the Big Horn Mountains are beautiful: I felt a reverence towards our Creator, and for me it was memorable. Since then I have considered playing in other places where the views are inspiring, or perhaps historical. But I only play when no others are around (other than my beautiful wife, that is). ~ Wyozark

I don't know if it is strange but I often play my harp in bed at night. It just shows what a versatile instrument it can be - try that with a cello or a Bernstein Grand! But my wife often complains about finding them in the bed after I have gone to sleep.

i 2nd the poster's request for deletion of this garbage.

i worry about being inappropriate online sometimes, but this sets a subterranean standard that would be hard to match.

unfunny, inappropriate, gutter filth.

Bublnsqueak can edit it out if he wants to. I don't really care. If he does edit it out leaving a blank space, then I'll delete it...But I don't moderate.

So its my decision then??

I'll leave it.

I don't mean any offence; but life without humour just isn't worth living!

concur regarding the value of humor.

somehow i don't find the image of you sticking your harp up your ass and farting through it funny.

i find it disgusting.

Well that depends on what song was played. Also, was there any accompaniment?
Maybe if there was some foot stomping and armpit farting along with it, it would be more tasteful.

Only a mediator at home and I don't get paid for it. I guess that means I'm not a professional mediator. Oops, my wife corrected me. I'm not a mediator; I'm an instigator.

So, this isn't real life? I propose a new form of music, it's not the blues, its the browns.

You don't need to take everything as a personal attack on your values, Joe. Sorry to see you leave.

Co-worker: "Hey, Paul, what's with the brown lipstick?"
Paul: "I'd rather not discuss it."

LOL! This is a first!! I've never seen anybody leave a forum because they didn't like the humor!!

I have to confess that I can't claim this joke as my own: It came from an episode of Mr & Mrs. An awful program where couples are quized on their knowledge of/about each other.

I have no idea whether its true (can't find a clip on youtube) but the question of the strangest place they had sex was asked, The young lady's reply was not what people were expecting.

C'mon Joe - society's taboos are a big part of humour.... Its either that, or the suffering of some poor black/irish/jewish etc etc individual. I'll take a weird bum joke every time.
