It's probably not your teeth. Playing for long periods of time can make your lips a little numb from the vibrations of the reeds.

In time, your lips will 'toughen up' and it will take longer before they go numb, if at all.

Tbh, I don't really know, it was a while ago that I first started playing. Maybe it will stop over time. I guess if it carries on, then after a few months see your dentist.

i have experienced the same!
when i began playing on the harmonica i always played like i was "kissing" my harmonica with a "pucker"
i noticed that i had the tendency to puch my harmonica to hard against my lips, so that my teeth had to deal with the pressure

i dont think it's a bad thing,
exept if after a month or so you can notice that your teeth start to move..

so maybe you can try an other technique or you could just try to focus on not pressing the harmonica to hard against your lips smiling smiley

I guess, by now, you've learned that the "Granny pucker" is improper embouchure?

Need more like a "Fish-Lips-semi-pucker" rather than a "kissing-type-pucker". Open your mouth a bit more to be able to get the harp a little deeper into the oral cavity. You're lips should be well on the harp, not just "resting" against the harp. And don't bite the harp! Relax. Breathe through the harp. smiling smiley
