Hi does anyone know why a hard draw on hole 1 of several new GM I own produces a metalic sound like the reed is hitting the cover plate?Can this be fixed?Thank You rastaman

i think the sound is metallic because the harmonica is making a metallic sound.

Barbarian; You are a big help. Rastaman 1710, I would guess it's that "hard draw" is causing a little sideways motion of the reed, rubbing it against the reed plate a little. As Paul Butterfield says "play softly". Even bending or wailing does not require "hard draws".

Pat the Harprat Thanks for the advice.A friend of mine(sweet daddy cool breeze) also told me the hohner golden melody has very soft reeds.It's probally a combination of both. Wailing when ever I can Jack
