Hard 7 draw

just bought a SP20 in A, started to notice that I have to pull out the 7 draw note, it's not as responsive as the others. I opened it up yesterday and cleaned it out. What's wrong with it?

Try very gently widening the gap a very tiny bit.
Well, I really don't know much about that stuff. Maybe the gap is too wide. Look at the gap and compare it to the other gaps. The lower the note, the wider the gap, so judge the gap by the ones on either side of it.

Yeah I just did that, and it works. I tried closing the gap alittle first, and it hardly sounded at all, then I tried widening it and now it sounds fine.

I open up reed gaps by sliding a piece of paper under it. This way, I can pull up slightly without moving it from side to side.
