Super bending exercise.

Recently I posted tab for the tune "The Ash Grove". I used a Melody Maker so I wouldn't have to bend the draw 3 so much. (A Paddy Richter would have played the same way since the tune doesn't go above blow 5.) I sometimes play that tune on a standard Richter just to practice my bending. On a standard Richter you will need to bend draw 2 half a step, draw 3 a full step, and draw 4 half a step. Sometimes you need to hit draw 3 bent, sometimes you bend down to it, sometimes you have to come out of the bend for the next note. This makes for a great bending exercise. Instead of waiting to get to that one bend that some tunes have, this tune will have you working all three of those bends over and over going both up and down. And since it is a simple tune it is easy to tell if you are bending to pitch or not. It is hard to play on a Richter at first. Go slow and get the bends right. It took me awhile to get the tune up to speed on a standard Richter but it sure helped me with my draw bends.
