Rod Piazza Is a West Coast Blues harmonica player who plays with his band Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers, With his wife, Honey Piazza on the keyboards.

He's great! He's from my old stomping grounds (Riverside, CA), and the Mighty Flyers used to do regular gigs (for a month at a time, a couple of times a year) at a place called Carlos O'Brien's when they weren't touring. Understand they still do this, only at a different venue. All of the serious musicians in the area made it a point to check him out (we called it "going to church".

Memories: Catching Rod at a blues festival at Perris Hill Park in San Bernardino (for my favorite price: Free). The bill that evening was Rod & The Mighty Flyers, William Clarke and his band, and guitarist Smokey Wilson. I was just learning harp at the time, and it was incredible listening to those two harp masters.
