He Set Me Free
Melody Maker Key Of "G"

 -2   -2  3  4   5    -2 -2    3   4
Once like a bird in pris-on I dwelt,

-3  4   4    5  -4   4   4   3   4
No free-dom from my sor-row  I felt;

-2    -2  3    4   5   -2  -2   3  4
But Je-sus came and lis-tened to me

3-2    4  4  4   4   5   5  4   4
And glo-ry to God, He set me free.

Chorus
4   4  4   5    4   4  3   4
He set me free, He set me free,

-2   -2    3    4   5    5 -4   5 -4
He  broke the bonds of pris-on for me;

6    6  6    5   4  4  4    3  -2
I'm glo-ry bound my Je-sus to see,

3-2     4  4  4   4   5   5  4   4
For glo-ry to God, He set me free.

Verse 2
Now I am climbing, higher each day,
Darkness of knight has drifted away;
My feet are planted on higher ground
And glory to God, I'm home-ward bound.

Verse 3
Good-by to sin and things that confound,
Naught of the world shall turn me around;
Daily I'm working, I'm praying, too,
And glory to God, I'm going thru.
