Honey Part 1

See the tree, how big it's grown,

5 6 5 6 5 -6 6 6
But friend it hasn't been too long,

5 -4 5 -5
It wasn't big.

-5 -5 -4 -5 -4 6 -5 5
I- laughed at her and she got mad,

-4 -5 -4 -5 -4 6 -5 5
The first day that she planted it,

-4 4 -4 5
Was just a- twig.

6 5 6 5 -6
Then the first snow came,

6 6 5 6 5 6 5 -6 6 6
And she ran out to brush the snow a-way

5 5 -4 5 -5
So it wouldn't die.

-4 -5 -5 -5 6 -5 5 -4
Came runnin' in all ex-cited,

-5 -4 -5 -4 -6 -5 5
Slipped and al-most hurt herself.

-4 4 4 -4 5
I- laughed till I- cried.

6 5 6 5 -6 6 6
She was always young at heart,

6 5 6 5 -6 6 6
Kinda dumb and kinda smart,

5 5 -4 5 -5
And I loved her so.

-5 -4 -5 -4 6 -5 5 -4
I- surprised her with a- puppy,

-5 -4 -5 -4 6 -5 5
Kept me up all Christmas Eve,

-4 4 - 4 5
Two years a-go.

5 6 5 6 5 -6 6 6
And it would sure embarrass her,

5 6 5 6 5 -6 6 6
When I came in from workin' late,

5 -4 5 -5
'Cause I- would know,

-4 -5 -5 -5 -4 6 -5 5 -4
That she'd been sittin' there and cryin',

-5 -4 -5 -4 6 -5 5 -4
O--ver some old sad and silly,

4 -4 5
Late, late show.

4 4 -4 5 5 -4
And honey, I miss you,

-3 -3 4 -4 4
And I'm bein' good,

4 4 4 -4 5 5 -4
And I'd love to be with you,

-3 -3 4 -4 4
If on-ly I- could.
