CHORUS
 9 9 8 8 7 7 7 6
Oh Lord it's hard to be hum-ble,
  5 -5 6 -6 -7 7 -8 8 -9 -8
When you're per-fect in ev-er-y way-ay,
-9 -9 -8 7 -8 -7 -6 -7 6
I can't wait to look in the mir-or,
   9 9 9 9 9 -10 9 9 8
'Cause I get bet-ter look-in' each day,
 8 9 8 8 7 7 6
To know me is to love me,
10 10 10 10 10 10 10 -9
I must be a hell of a guy,
10 10 -9 -9 9 -10 9 8
Oh Lord it's hard to be hum-ble,
 8 8 9 9 9 -9 8 -8 7
But I'm do-in' the best that I can.

I used to have a girl friend,
But I guess she couldn't compete,
With all of these loved starved women,
Who keep clamoring at my feet,
Well I prob'ly could find another,
But I guess they're all in awe of me,
Who cares I never get lonesome,
'Cause I treasure my own company.

I guess you could say I'm a loner,
A cowboy outlaw, tough and proud,
Oh I could have lots of friends, if I want to,
But,then I would'nt stand out in a crowd.

Some folks say that I'm egotistical,
Hell, I don't even know what it means,
I guess, it has somethin' to do with the way,
That I fill out my skin tight blue jeans!
