Tab

3   4   5    6  6   -5 5    -5
I'm pressing on the up-ward way,

3   -3      -4  -5 -5   5 -4   5
New heights I'm gaining e-v'ry day;

6     6   5   4  5   -4 4    -3bb
Still praying as I'm on-ward bound,

-4     4     -3bb 3    4  5   -4 4
"Lord, plant my-- feet on higher ground."

Refrain

3     4    5  6  6   -5  5  -5
Lord, lift me up and let me stand,

3  -3     -4 -5 -5    5 -4  5
By faith, on Heaven's table land,

6 6   5  4     5    -4 4    -3bb
A higher plane than I- have found;

-4    4     -3bb 3    4  5   -4 4
Lord, plant my-- feet on higher ground.

My heart has no desire to stay
Where doubts arise and fears dismay;
Though some may dwell where those abound,
My prayer, my aim, is higher ground.

Repeat Refrain

I want to live above the world,
Though Satan's darts at me are hurled;
For faith has caught the joyful sound,
The song of saints on higher ground.

Repeat Refrain

I want to scale the utmost height
And catch a gleam of glory bright;
But still I'll pray till Heaven I've found,
"Lord, plant my feet on higher ground."

Repeat Refrain
