 -6 6 4 -4 5
their flocks by night,
5-5 6 6 6 -55 5 -4
All seat-ed on the ground,
-78 -8 6 -5 -5 -5 5-4 5
The an-gel of the Lord came down,

And glo-ry shone a-round.

 5 -5 6 8 -7 -6 6 4 -4 5
"Fear not!" said he; for might-y dread

Had seized their trou-bled mind,
 -7 8 -8 6 -5 -5 -5 5 -4 5
"Glad tid-ings of great joy I bring,
8-7 -6 6 -5 5 -6 5
To you and all man-kind.

"To you, in David's town, this day
Is born of David's line,
The Savior, who is Christ the Lord;
And this shall be the sign:
And this shall be the sign:

"The heavenly babe you there shall find
To human view displayed,
All meanly wrapped in swathing bands,
And in a manger laid."
And in a manger laid."

Thus spake the seraph; and forthwith
Appeared a shining throng
Of angels, praising God, who thus
Addresses their joyful song:
Addresses their joyful song:

"All glory be to God on high,
And on the earth be peace:
Good will henceforth from heaven to man,
Begin and never cease!"
Begin and never cease!"
