Nikita (ver 2)

Incidentally, in Russia, Nikita is exclusively a man's name so Joanna Pacula's appearance in the film is the result of bad type casting and not a dramatic lifestyle change in Elton John.

 6 -6 -7 7 -7 6 -6
Hey Nikita is it cold

-9 8 8 -8 -8 7 7 5 6
In your little corner of the world

 8 -8 -8 7 -7 -4 -5
You could roll around the globe

-4 5 5 -5 -5 6 -5 5 6
And never find a warmer soul to know

 7 -8 8 -9 8 -8 7
Oh I saw you by the wall

-9 -9 -9 8 8 -8 7 5 6
Ten of your tin soldiers in a row

 8 8 -8 -8 7 -7 -4 -5
With eyes that looked like ice on fire

-4 5 -5 -5 -5 6 -5 5 4
The human heart a captive in the snow

 7 -8 8 -9 8 -8 -8 7 -9
Oh Nikita you will never know

-9 -9 8 8 -8 7 8
anythin' about my home

 8 8 -8 -8 7 7 -7 -7 -6 6 -8
I'll never know how good it feels to hold you

 8 -9 -9 -9 -9 8 7
Nikita I need you so

 7 -8 8 -9 8 -8 -8 7 -8 8 -9
Oh Nikita is the other side

-9 -9 8 8 -8 -8 -8 7 8
of any given line in time

 8 -8 -8 7 7 -7 -7 -6 6
Counting ten tin soldiers in a row

 8 -9 8 9 -9 -9 -9 8 7
Oh no, Nikita you'll never know

 6 -6 -7 7 -7 6 -6
Do you ever dream of me

-9 8 8 -8 -8 7 7 5 6
Do you ever see the letters that I write

 8 -8 -8 7 -7 -4 -5
When you look up through the wire

-4 5 5 -5 -5 6 -5 5 6
Nikita do you count the stars at night

 7 -8 8 -9 8 -8 7
And if there comes a time

-9 -9 -9 8 8 -8 7 5 6
Guns and gates no longer hold you in

 8 8 -8 -8 7 -7 -4 -5
And if you're free to make a choice

-4 5 -5 -5 -5 6 -5 5 4
Just look towards the west and find a friend

 7 -8 8 -9 8 -8 -8 7 -9
Oh Nikita you will never know

-9 -9 8 8 -8 7 8
anythin' about my home

 8 8 -8 -8 7 7 -7 -7 -6 6 -8
I'll never know how good it feels to hold you

 8 -9 -9 -9 -9 8 7
Oh no, Nikita you'll never know
