IN THE GLOAMING
By: A.F. Harrison & Meta Ored
Story, Jonatha Brooke
Key: G
Time: 2/4

-5 6 -5 -4 -5 5 5 -4
In the gloam-ing, oh my dar-ling
 -3 2 3 -4 -5 5 -4
When the lights are dim and low
-5 6 -5 -4 -5 5 5 -4
And the qui-et sha-dows, fall-ing,
 -3 2 3 -4 -4 -3 3
Soft-ly come and soft-ly go
 3 -3 -3 3 3 -3-4 -3 3
When the winds are sob-bing faint-ly
 -3 -3 -4 -5 6 -5 -3
With a gen-tle un-known woe
 -5 6 -5 -4 -5 5 5 -4
Will you think of me and love me,
-3 2 3 -4 -4 -3 3
As you did long, long a-go

In the gloaming, oh my darling
Think not bitterly of me
Though I passed away in silence
Left you lonely, set you free
For my heart was tossed with longing
What had been could never be
It was best to leave you thus, dear,
Best for you, and best for me
In the gloaming, oh my darling
When the lights are soft and low
Will you think of me, and love me
As you did once long ago
