  Music by R Bowling
  5 5 -5 5 -4 4 -4 5
Come and look out through the window
 5 5 5 -5 5 -4 4 -4
That big old moon is shinin' -down.
 -4 -4 5 -4 5 6 5 -4
Tell me now don't it remind you
-4 -4 5 -4 4 3 5
Of a blanket on the ground.
 3 5 5 -5 5 -4 4 -4 5
Remember back when love first found us
 5 5 -5 5 -4 4 -4
We'd go slippin' out of town.
 -4 -4 5-4 -4 5 6 5 -4
And we'd love beneath the moonlight
-4 -4 5 -4 5 5 -4
On a blanket on the ground.

 4 4 4 5 5 6 6 -6 -5
I'll get the blanket from the bedroom
 6 -6 6 -6 6 6 6-4 5
And we'll go walking once again
 6 6 -6 6 6 6 5-4
To that spot down by the river
  6 6 -6 6 -6 -6 4 5
Where our sweet love first began
  4 4 5 -4 4 -6 -5
Just because we are married
 -6 -6 -6 -6 -6 6 5
Don't mean can't sleep around
6 6 -6 6 6 6 5 -4
So let's walk out through the moonlight
 -4 -4 -4 -4 -4 5 -4 -4 4
And lay the blanket on the ground.

(The rest of the song has the same notes as above)

Oh remember how excited
We used to get when love was young
That old moon was our best buddy

We could'nt wait for night to come
Now you know you still excited me

I know you love me like I am
Just once more I wish you'll love me
On a blanket on the ground.
I'll get the blanket from the bedroom
