 5 5 -5 -6 -7 5 5 -5 -6 -7
Been run-nin' a-round, seen man-y a town,
5 5 -5 -6 -7 -7 7
So may-be you'll find I'm the
 -6 -5 5 -3 -2
kind of guy to brag.
 4 4 -5 -6 -7 -7 8
But lis-ten to me and see,
-7 7* 7* 7 -6
if you don't a-gree
5 5 -5 -6 -7
No mel-o-dy rolls,
-7 7 -6 -5 5 -3 -2
like that steel gui-tar rag.
-7 -7* -7* 7 -6 -5
And when they slide that thing,
-7* -7 -6 -5 5
a-long the strings
5 -4 7 -5 -4 7 -5 -4
It sounds so dog gone heav-en-ly,
6 8 7 6 8
you hear an-gels sing
 7 6 -7 -7* 7 -6 -5
and when you start your feet,
 -7* -7 -6 -5 5
your heart will beat,
 5 -4 7 -5 -4 8 7 6 5 -6
The rhy-thm to that steel gui-tar rag.

 7* -7 -10 9 -7 -10 9
You may-be kind-a choos-y
  -7 7* -7 -10 8 8 -10
‘bout the kind of songs you hear,
 7* -7 -10 8 -7 -10 9
You may like songs that's blue-sy,
-7 -5* 6 8 7 6 8
So you cry right in your beer,
 7* -7 -10 9 -7 -10 9 -7
But if you like a tune that's bound
5* -5 -7* -6 -5 -7*
to drive a-way your care,
-7* -7* -7* -7* -7
Make hap-py your soul
 -7 -7 8 8 8 -10
with that Steel Gui-tar Rag
