Ba-by, ev-'ry-thing is all right,
-8 -7 -6 6 5 -4
Up-tight, out of sight.
-8 -7 -6 6 6 5 6 5
Ba-by, ev-'ry-thing is all right,
-8 -7 -6 6 5 -4
Up-tight, out of sight.

I'm a poor-man's son,
 6 6 6 5 6 6 -6
from a-cross the rail-road tracks,
 6 -8 -8 -8 -8 -7 6
The on-ly shirt I own is
 -8 -8 -8 -8 -7
Hang-in' on my back,
 6 -7-66 6 6 6 5 6 5 6 6 -6
But I'm the en-vy of ev-'ry sin-gle guy
  6 -7 -6 6 6 5 -8 -8 -7-66
Since I'm the ap-ple of my girl's eye.

 -4 5 6 6 6 6 -4 5 6 5 6 -6
When we go out step-ping on the town for a while
6 -7 -6 6 5 6 -8 -8 -8 -7
My mon-ey's low and my suit's out of style,
 5 6 -8 -7 5 6 -6 6 5 6
But it's all right if my clothes are-n't new
-8 -8 -7 5 6 5 6 -6 6
Out of sight be-cause my heart is true.

 5 6 -8 -7 -6 6 6 5 6 5
She says ba-by ev-'ry-thing is al-right,
-8 -6 8 -8 -7
Up-tight, out of sight.
8-8 -7 -6 6 6 5 6 5 -8 -7
Ba- by, ev-'ry-thing is al-right, up-tight,
  8 -8 8 6
clean out of sight.

-8 -8-8-8 9-9 ~~ 8-98-8 -8 -8

 -4 5 6 6 5 6
She's a pearl of a girl,
-4 5 6 6 6 5 -6
I guess that's what you might say,
-4 -7 -6 6 6 6 -8 -8 -7-66
I guess her folks brought her up that way,
-4 5 6 6 5 6
The right side of the tracks,
-4 5 6 6 -6
she was born and raised
5 6 8 -8 -8 6
In a great big old house,
 6 6 -8 -8 -8 -7-66
full of but-lers and maids.
 5 6 8 -7 5 6 6 -6 -6
She says no one is bet-ter than I,
6 -8 -8 6 -8 -8 -8 -8 -7
I know I'm just an av-er-age guy,
-7 -7-66 6 6 5 6 6 6 -6
No foot-ball her-o or smooth Don Juan,
 6 -7 -7 -6 6
Got emp-ty pock-ets,
 6 5 5 -8 -8 -8 -7-66
you see I'm a poor-man's son.

 5 6 6 6 6-4 5 6 5 5 6 -6
Can’t give her the things that mon-ey can buy
 6 6 -7 -7 6 5
But I'll nev-er, nev-er
 6 6 6 -8 -8 -8 -8-7
Nev-er make my ba-by cry,

 5 6 -8 -7 6 -6 6 5 6
And it's all right, what I can't do,
-8 -8 -7 5 6 5 6 -6 6
Out of sight be-cause my heart is true,
 5 6 -8 -7 -6 6 6 5 6 5
She says ba-by ev-'ry-thing is al-right,

up-tight, clean out of sight.
