Tab

  5 -5 6 4 4 -6 -6 7 6
Peop-le say, out of sight, out of mind
 5 -5 6 6 6 -6 7 7 -7
And they'll say, she'll for-get, what we had.
 5 -5 6 6 -6 7 8 8 8 7 6
Ev-en though, I'm sail-ing, leav-ing her be-hind
   6 8 8 -9 8 -8 -8 7 -7 7
She'll go on lov-ing me, my but-ter-fly.

CHORUS
  5 -5 6 6 -6 -7 7
Butt-er-fly, my butt-er-fly,
 -8 8 -9 -9 8 7 -8
I'll be gone, for just a while,
 5 -5 6 6 -6 -7 7
I'll re-turn, my butt-er-fly,
 -9 8 -8 7 -7 7
For your love and your smile.

And the sea, that will keep us apart
Will not dampen, the love in our hearts,
In spite of all they say,
I know that come what may
She'll go on loving me, my butterfly

CHORUS

Our love, is so fine and so rare,
There's nothing, on earth to compare
In spite of all they say,
When I come back, I'll stay,
And love this girl, I call butterfly.
