Just a day, just an or-din-ar-y day just trying to
 5 -4 4 4 -4 4 -4 -4 4 -4 5 4 4
Get by. Just a boy, just an or-din-ar-y boy, but
5 4 -4 -4 5 4 -3 4 6 -77 7 6
He was looking to the sky, and as he asked if
-5 5 5 -5 5 4 6 -5 -5 5 -4 -4 4
I would come a-long, I started to realize, that
4 -4 -4 4 -4 -4 -4 5 -4 4 4
Every day he finds just what he’s looking for.
 -4 -4 -4 5 4 4 4 -2” 4 4
Like a shooting star he shines. And he said,
  65 5-4 -4 6-5 -55 -4 -4 6 -77 7
“Take my hand, live while you can. Don’t you see
 6 -5 -5 54 5 4 5 4 -4 -44-3
Your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand”
4 4 -4 4 -4 - 4 4 -4 5 4 4 6
And as he spoke,he spoke or-di-nar-y words,though
 -5 -5 5 -4 4 4 -4 4 -4 -4 4 -4
They did not feel. For I felt what I had nor felt
5 4 4 5 -4 -4 -4 5 4-3
Before. And you’d swear those words could heal,
 4 6 -77 7 6 -5 5 5 -5 5 4 6 -5
And as I looked up in-to those eyes, his vision
 -5 5 -4 -4 4 4 -4 -4 -4 5 5-4
Borrows mine, and I know he’s no stranger, for
-4 4 -4 -4 -4 5 4 4 4 -2” 4 4
I feel I’ve held him for all of time. And he said
  65 5-4 -4 6-5 -55 -4 -4 6 -77 7
“Take my hand, live while you can. Don’t you see
6 -5 -5 54 5 4 5 4 -4 -4 5-4
Your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand,oh
5 4 5 4 -4 -44-3
In the palm of your hand.
 5 -4 -3 4 5 -4 -5 5 6 -5
Please come with me, see what I see. Touch the
 -4 -34 5 -4 -3 4 5 -4 -5
Stars for time will not freeze. Time will not
  5 5 -4 -3
Freeze, can’t you see?
4 4 -4 4 -4 -4 4 -4 5 4 4 6 -5
Just a dream,just an or-di-nar-y dream, as I wake
5 4 4 4 -4 -4 -4 4 -4 5 4 5 -4
In bed, and that boy, that or-di-nar-y boy,was it
-4 -4 5 4 -3 4 6 -7 7 6 -5 5 5
All in my head? Didn’t he ask if I would come
-5 5 4 6 -5 -5 5 -4 -4 4 -4 -4 4
Along. It all seemed so re-al. But as I looked
-4 -4 -4 5-4 -4 4 4 -4 -4 5 4
To the door, I saw the boy standing there with
4 4 -2” 4 4
A deal, and he said
  65 5-4 -4 6-5 -55 -4 -4 6 -77 7
“Take my hand, live while you can. Don’t you see
6 -5 -5 54 5 4 5 4 -4 -4
Your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand
5-4 5 4 5 4 -4 -4 5-4 5 4 5 4
Oh, in the palm of your hand, oh in the palm of
-4 -44-3
Your hand.
