Want to make I'll Fly Away (Another Version) sound awesome on your harmonica? Master tight single notes, rock solid bending and more with easy video lessons ->click here.

Song: Please note that, while it is similar, these notes are not the ones
sung in the song.  I came up with this because it sounds good either
combined with vocals, or on its own, and is similar enough to be
recognizable to anyone who knows the song.  It is plain, easy straight
harp, in whatever key you feel like playing in. (I like A, but this Bb
and D also sound really cool.)

 5    4    3  4(-4) 5   -4   5   -5 5 -4
Some glad morning when this life is o'er

 4   -4   4
I'll fly away

5  4  3   4(-4)5   -4 5 -5    5(-4)
To a home on God's celestial shore

 5    -4  4
I'll fly away

 6    5    6   5 -4 4    4   -4   4
I'll fly away, O glory, I'll fly away

 5   4  3   4 -4 5 -4  5   -5 5(-4)5   -4   4
When I die, hallelujah by-and-by, I'll fly away

When the shadows of this life have gone
I'll fly away
Like a bird who from prison walls has flown
I'll fly away

O how glad and happy when we meet
I'll fly away
No more iron shackles on my feet
I'll fly away

Just a few more weary days and then
I'll fly away
To a land where joys will never end
I'll fly away

Note: The notes in parenthesis are unnecessary, but sound nice,
especially as filler if you are playing slow, making the song move a
little quicker.  Another way to make it sound a little dirtier and
more bluesy is to play the -4 on the word 'fly' either as a (-3 -4 -5)
chord, and open up your cupped hands to allow a little more sound out,
or simply bend and unbend the note, playing it as -4 -4'-4 in quick
succession.  Enjoy!
