I think that this might be the first welsh folk tune on the website (can't find any others anyway).
The tune is called "Erw Goed", (pronounced "err - oo goid") which translates as "Acre of Woodland or Acre of Trees". It's by the welsh band, "Gwerinos" from their album "Seilam" and is available as an MP3 file from internet music sellers, so it's probably worth listening to some of it first as I imagine there won't be many who are familiar with it and my tablature is probably far from perfect (my wife plays by ear on the piano, gives me the chords and then I translate into tablature). If you can improve on this please let me know.

Repeat these two sections, perhaps in another key then repeat first section in original key followed by:

-5 -6 -6 6 -6 -6 6 6 -6 6 -5 5
-6 6 -5 5 -5 5 -4 4 -4
& nbsp; ; &nb sp; Repeat this last section
Of course, Gwerinos do it much better than me !!!
P.S Any other harpists in West Wales who have already or interested in, doing tablature for other welsh folk tunes? |
