I am new here and I want to thank Bluewest that posted his version
of the BS&T harmonica Intro.  Honestly, I picked up my first
harmonica (Hohner Marine Band diatonic key of C) to learn how to play
this Intro.  I’ve loved it ever since I was a kid listening
to the radio.  As I tried to play the Bluewest version, it just
didn’t coincide with my memory or the Intro I had of the
original broadcast version of the song from iTunes.  So with the
help of my musically gifted wife, we pulled out the A and E harps and
broke it down using the harmonica setting on her electronic keyboard.
 I believe this was originally played using a Key of A harp and
deeply bending draw three for the low F#.  You can play it all
without bending on the E harp, but it is an octave higher than the
original.  Remember, I am trying to recreate the original version
exactly as it was recorded by BS&T in 1968.  Here is what I
believe are the tabs for the original.

I believe the low F# is a deep bend of a draw three.  Hard to
get there at my level, but I’m working on it.  The rest of
it sounds exactly like the version from iTunes.  Surprisingly,
there is very little about this intro on the internet.
