I had the idea of offering the website without ads to people would pay a small monthly fee lets say of five dollars. Would anyone be interested in this?

I would setup a paypal subscription which people could sign-up for. Once the person had the subscription the site would no longer have the ads shown on it.

I fixed the paypal link. Thanks for telling me, I had no idea that wasn't working. It must have been broken since the website redesign which was like two years ago. I wonder if anyone had tried donating and it just didn't work.

Personally i dont mind the ads too much (excpt a certain errr...."quality fiction" banner that occaisionally rears its ugly head at the top of my screen, very suspect indeed....) or it may be the fact that im totally grippit, im not sure which is more true.

Ads don't bother me any more since I installed a plugin called Adblock. I easily block all banner and flash ads except for any supporting sponsor ads since those are the only ones that deserve to be displayed.

It was when I was seeing the same Vonage ads on just about every web site I was going to that something needed to be done to start eliminating all of them. My browsing has become much more enjoyable, the pages look cleaner and all the flash ads don't slow my system down any more.

I use Ad blocker as well.
But the odd ad still pops up!
