Chatroom

What does everyone think of me setting up a chatroom for members to talk in? If this would be used I can set it up. My concern is that it just won't get much usage. I know this has been discussed in the past but it seemed like people weren't interested.

I havn't gotten any messages from your new system from anyone but Nick. Would there be better response to chat?

I've been sitting in a couple of Undernet IRC channels 24 hours a day for over 10 years. Amazingly, there's no channel called #harmonica on Undernet IRC. At least the last time I checked there wasn't.

Sorry, I don't do the chat "room" stuff.

I don't either but I figured I would ask and if people wanted I would do it.

I think it would be pretty cool. But I think I could live either way.

Chats don't intrigue me. I never understood the fascination. I like the voice chat at Harmonica Club, but for one, that's the exception, and for two, I don't get to visit much when there are people there.

I think It isn't good idea. Always when I'm logging on this site there are at most 2 members... including me =D And it's good to notice, that I'm logging quite offen. So even If You'll create a chat room, probably There won't be much people...

I know, the only way a chatroom has a possibility of working is if we had a schedule and people came and talking during the scheduled times.

I like the idea, but I am not sure if it is worth your trouble, Nick, because I may use it once, and not like it so much...

I don't think it will be used much by anyone, no one has really expressed true interest in this, so i think it is a dead issue.

Usually when I'm on, there's not too many other people online. The forums and the instant messaging serve our needs pretty well I think!

I think so too, I believe the messaging system fills the void of contact on the site which we used to have.
