Sure has gotten quiet

I've been busy with other stuff. There's a bunch of songs I want to tab but just haven't had the time. From the looks of it, I'm not the only one. The forums are slow and the amount of tabs being uploaded has really slowed down. Although the regulars may have slowed down, at least we've provided a wealth of information and tabs for new harp players.

Yes things have quieted down recently. I know personally things have been very crazy for me the past few weeks so I have not been on here everyday myself like I normally would be. Today alone was nuts, I spend all day working and driving, I didn't even have a chance to eat till about 10 pm.

The thing I've noticed is that the server seems very unstable. Only about 50% of the times that I've tried to access the site over the last week or so, have been successful.

I got an email telling me that the company is getting rid of the server we are on and we have to switch to a different type of server where the site won't work. So I did some research and found a new company. I need to have the site moved by the end of the month.

yeah Stephen... I've been swamped with life. I'm doing good to find practice time with my harps. I have several songs I want to tab, but just haven't had the time lately. Today is a holiday, so I've got the kids home and won't get much done. (smile)))

Nick, it sounds like you're going to be totally busy with switching the site over, but ya knew you had to do it soon anyway. (shagrin)))

I have another question. It's about the adds. Will they be the same adds. I've had the misfortune of visiting websites with very profane adds and I've always appreciated that the adds on this website are clean; or at least not noticeable lol. Do you put the code for the adds or will moving to a different server affect them in some way. I've heard of people wanting to put their websites on christian servers because there was no pornography, that's why I was asking.

I use a plugin called adblock. I can select which ads I want to view. Any kind of banners including flash can be blocked. I block all non sponsor ads on many web sites I visit. I feel if someone is willing to actually sponser a web site, I'll leave the banners viewable. It's all the other spam ads that only generate money if clicked that I block. The banners are completely removed from the page so there's no chance of even accidently clicking on them. Normally there's just a blank space in the page.

Viewing web sites has become much more enjoyable since I installed Adblock.

So bandwidth gets increased. Does that mean the midi files for songs can get hosted here?

The ads on this site are all provided by google and will remain the same. As for the added bandwidth and hosting Midi files, yes that can be done here no that we will have the space. I just have to add the coding for that.
