oh gosh, that's an unfair question Nick, for there's soo many things I like about this site! lol

For me, it's all about the music, so I'd have to say the tabbed music and co-op like way it's handled on this site. I like the feature which sends an email when someone has posted your song request... that's quite nifty.

Frank, what do you mean by conversion tool? I can't believe I missed an important feature here! lol Let me know... that sounds interesting...

When you log into the site, (not the forum) there is a new link that shows up in the menu. It says "Convert." You can enter in any note from the key of C (no sharps &/or flats) and it will tell you what hole (blow or draw & even bends) on a key of C harp that would be. The only thing you have to remember is that Low C is C1, Middle C is C2 High C is C3, and C above High C is C4. The notes between C1 and C2 all end in 1, the notes between C2 and C3 all end in 2, and lastly, the notes between C3 and C4 all end in 3.

G0 is the only exception to the note pattern. G0 will give you -2 and G1 will give you 3 though they both represent the same note.

So basically, if you enter in

C1 D1 E1 F1 G0 G1 A1 B1 C2 D2 E2 F2 G2 A2 B2 C3 D3 E3 F3 G3 A3 B3 C4

you will get out

1 -1 2 ~~-2 -2 3 ~~-3 -3 4 -4 5 -5 6 -6 -7 7 -8 8 -9 9 -10 ~10 10

Wow I didn't think anyone was using that lol. I don't know how to read music so my friend and I did a lot of work to put it all together. I was trying to make it so that you could just type in a song which you had sheet music for and it would convert it easily, but I found that it wasn't that easy. I was worried it was too complicated for anyone to use. I am glad you like it that much.

Favorite feature?

It's the tabs. Lots of tabs.

No cheesy graphics, just good content.

Easy to find the new stuff.

Lots of new stuff all the time.

What's not to like.

lol well most of the things on that list I have no control over. The tabs and content is provided by everyone else, I just provide the medium. I hope this site continues to grow larger and more popular so that the songs and ideas keep coming.

Nick

You might not provide all the content but you provided an easy way to collect it. You make it easy to use. You make it very easy to find the new stuff. Some sites make it impossible to tell when new stuff is added. Your site is clean. It is not all junked up with distracting stuff. No flashing or moving graphics anyware. It is a real pleasure to use. You did GOOD.

I like the overall format of HarpTabs.com

Easy to navigate to what I'm looking for.

I am able to interact with others and contribute.

I'm probably only echoing how most of us feel.

This site is a real credit to you, Nick.
