Would it be possible to make the notes line up with the words? It would also be nice if it worked on the iPhone.

I will look into this. The mobile site should work fine on the iPhone, what happens when you try to go to it?

I was unable to find an iPhone version either on the web or at the App Store

There is no iPhone version of the app. There most likely will never be one. You can go to the mobile site by going to [www.harptabs.mobi]
