How the heck do you edit when...

...when a ' looks more like "&gnhgughvjhg" in the edit window??!! (Referring to tabs)
Also, could the edit and composing window be made as wide as the tab window so we can see exactly what the edited version will look like?

Can you give me a tab example... also the edit window is the size of the screen when I do an edit...

That is the html code to generate the particular ' that was used in the original code. You can either ignore those or manually change it to a standard apostrophe. Generally that happens when cutting and pasting is done from another source.
