Hey,

I have been considering getting a chromatic harmonica in the key of C especially after looking at tabs for Layla and Baba O'Riley by chibluesteve. I was just wondering if I should get 10 hole or 12 hole? Does anyone know which of these two are mostly used in the tabs posted on harptabs?

Thanks for your responses in advance.

Walt you are a man of few words (or numbers), but those few words (or numbers) speak volumes.

I'm a few days behind on this thread, but putting my two cents worth in anyway. I'd definitely say get a 12 hole, Solo tuned, Key of C with windsavers/valves). Don't scrimp and get a chromatic without valves! Those leak like a sieve, sound terrible, and are so frustrating to try and learn on that one is most likely to put it in a drawer and forget about it.

You're pretty safe with either a Hohner 270 Super Chromonica, a Suzuki SCX-48, or a Seydel Chromatic Delux. All three are very good, and worth every penny.
