newbie....sore lips

Hello....been playing for 3 days. Bottom lip is sore...tiny spot hurts when I slide the harp. My lips seem to dry out fast...is this a newbie issue ?

Let your lips heal. Then keep them wet when playing.

Also, some harmonicas slide better than others.

And , edmackey , don't press so hard on the mouthpiece, that uses up the moisture.

Keep your lips (as well as your general body, pretty much) relaxed.
