hey evryone. This is my first post in awhile. I got busy with school and things but anyways I am going on a scout trip this weekend and was wondering if anyone knew of some good campfire songs for the harmonica. My friend will have his guitar but i dont know what songs he can play. Only request i make is that the songs not be too difficult as i only have three days to learn them and i haven't played in a while.

Thanks,
Blue

P.S sorry for the bad grammar too much instant messaging.

I would do something campy like kum ba yah (or kumbayah (V2)). Amazing Grace is always nice to hear at a fire, taps, there are a lot of songs which you could play. Just think about the songs you normally would hear at the jamborees and district campouts.

I think it was Frank who submitted a really good, low and easy "Lean On Me", it kinda seems like a campfire, camaradarie (only if I spelled it right) inspiring kind of song.

And how about "Amazing Grace"? Several good versions of this song...

Another good song I was think was home on the range. Family Life came out just as I entered the Boy Scouts so I got it first thing.

Oh, sorry. I didn't know. Well then, I don't know any songs that would be good for the campfire. If I think of a good one, I'll let you know.

Maybe someone can tab Kyle from Southpark "I'm a jew" song for you. smiling smiley

I was pondering on tabbing the jewish wedding music quite a while ago. Not sure what it's called but it's the melody you always hear at the weddings. It's those simple melodies that help you practice. If you really listen to them, the simple melodies are mostly just scales
