Not sure if this has been mentioned before but I wanted to share with you guys in case you haven't checked it out.

I am talking about JP Allen's instructional stuff. He has a great little site that teaches train time rhythm method, step by step with sound samples, and now has a website that sells instructional DVDs.

I am not associated with him in anyway, the train time rhythm site is all free
[host90.ipowerweb.com]

And the other stuff here
[www.jpallen.com]
is very very good IMHO.
I have the 'core essentials' video and the 'getting campfire ready'
and will be getting some others soon.

Core essentials expands on the free stuff from the train time rhythm
site (blues style chugging rhythm) and the camp fire one is intro to playing along with guitar (1st position folk style). I play guitar and this video had
me improvising the harp with my playing very quickly.

Anyway just wanted to share this, check out the free stuff and I am
sure you will be blown away if you are a begginer like myself. I changed
my single note method from puckering to lip blocking by following the
instructions on the free site and haven't looked back. I didn't realise
lip blocking was so easy, I thought it meant contourting my lips to block off
holes, but in fact it is so natural it makes the puckering method seem
downright awkward in comparison IMO. And this technique alone made
my single notes much fuller, my bends easier to perform and it fixed my
number 2 draw immediately.

Hope some others find it as usefull as I have.

OH yes Graham, I am very familar with JP Allens website and recommend his site to players all the time. JP's techniques have really helped me, when I was first getting started, & still helps me as I develop into a better player. JP is a super nice guy too... he works as a counsilor, when he's not harpin'. (grin)))
