Its all about Chromatic

Ever since I got my Swan Chromatic Harmonica I can't get enough of it! Simply one of the best buys I ever had.

ITS NOTHING compared to a diatonic one. Diatonic is mainly used for Blues. You could play VERY simple songs (known songs, Rock, pop etc.) with Diatonic but most songs really need a chromatic harmonica to be played.

Just naming them for you:
Bruce Springstin - the river
Hollies - he aint heavy he's my brother
Aerosmith - Crazy / Crying / Amazing
Western melodies - Man with the Harmonica, Once a upon a time in the West, For a fistful of dollars, etc.
Leo sayer - Oh Girl
Marmalades - Reflections of my life
Zamfir - The Lonely Shaperd
Luis Bacalov - Emus Prima - The Grand Duel (Kill Bill).

and many other songs.

I've literally been sitting for hours now, listening to favourite songs (some in hebrew, who have no midis available) and taking out notes by ear and harmonica playing.

Listen to me. If you wanna play the harmonica and REALLY enjoy it (as long as blues is not what you are after) GET Charomatic!!!

(:

good luck! I've added several wanted songs (Grand Duel, The river) chromatic tabs. They're gourgeous.

It was nice to hear something about the chromatic.....
I Will probably try chromatic too, why not?
But among many other thing, I'm a bluesman, so for me and at the moment it's all diatonic...
And I also feel that is were I need to develop further..
But I am interested in chromatic and I want to learn more about it....
Swan Chromatic Harmonica.....
I am not familiar with that brand....What did the harp cost?
Keep Harping!

I was thinking that the blues scale would play well on a chromo with its three flats. Harder to do without good bending skills on a diatonic.

Hell yeah smiling smiley diatonic bends so swell. Last night I played "I am sailing" both on diatonic and Harmonica (couldn't get several notes on the diatonic though), and man, that diatonic bends were rockin !!

Heh, neighbors came by asking me to replay it on the diatonic.
But thats what you get for buying a 40$ chromatic made by a chinese brand (Swan).

Its cool, its the cheapest chromatic we had here (10 holes).

I wanna go for the hohner, but it costs over 60$ ... kinda sad :/
