Hey guys,

This is driving me crazy. I'm trying to tab out John Williamson's live cover of Spectrum's "I'll be gone."

It's on the John Williamson Platinum Collection CD1, called "I'll be gorn."

At first I thought it was a C diatonic, then a G, then back to a C and even tried a C chromatic but I just can't get the notes on the licks.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Cheers.

I would say the song is in G. I think he starts out with -2 -3" -4 (G A D) on a C harp. Then maybe some -4 5 6 -6 and back. A little 2 3 -3". I can sorta play along to the YouTube video. I'm mostly just following notes using the Pentatonic Scale in 2nd position. Maybe that will help you get it rolling, and then elaborate on it later.

Thanks for your help Railjumper. If you come across the live version have a listen, it's heaps better and a little quicker.

Cheers.
